Watt & Wheel helps people buy the right electric bike without overspending or getting burned by marketing claims. It is written by Ravi Kapoor, an ebike mechanic and daily commuter who rides every bike he reviews on real roads.

We are different from most ebike sites in two ways. First, we are independent: we ride and wrench on this gear and rank by what holds up, not by who pays the most. Our specs and prices are pulled from each maker and checked by hand. Second, we lead with value and honesty. A smart mid-priced ebike usually beats a flashy expensive one, and we call out optimistic range claims, cadence sensors and soft brakes when we see them.
